A P-plate driver has lost his licence after falling asleep while in the waiting bay of a fast food restaurant.
Emergency services were called to Frewville McDonald’s on Glen Osmond Rd about 11.45pm on Wednesday to reports of a driver asleep in his vehicle.
He was parked in the waiting bay of the fast-food restaurant.
Police woke the driver of the white Mitsubishi Lancer and he submitted to a breath test, returning a positive result of 0.106.
Checks revealed the man, a 25-year-old from Nairne, was the holder of a provisional licence.
The man was reported for drink driving and breaching P plate conditions. He received a licence disqualification for six months and the vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
He will face court at a later date.
