A post-mortem exam has revealed the death of a woman in a Christie Downs unit is not suspicious after police swarmed the apartment complex.
Laurel Floyd, 43, was found at the home on Rufus Cres at 10am on Wednesday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigations treated the death as suspicious but following an autopsy examination, Ms Floyd’s death is not believed to be suspicious, police said.
Meanwhile, Ms Floyd’s partner, a 54-year-old Christie Downs man, was arrested at the scene after he allegedly assaulted police officers who entered the unit.
It is understood they were in a “domestic relationship” and lived in the unit together.
The man is currently in hospital undergoing treatment but will appear in court at a later date in regards to the alleged assault on police officers.
He has not been charged with any wrongdoing in relation to Ms Floyd’s death, but has been arrested and charged with assaulting police.
The SA Housing Trust complex was sighted to be in disrepair with broken windows, graffiti and rubbish strewn everywhere.
