A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after a police officer crashed into her at Norwood – with police launching an investigation into how the incident occurred.
A police car travelling east on Magill Road about 12.15pm Thursday tried to perform a right turn on to Osmond Terrace when the driver crashed into a pedestrian.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was treated at the scene before she was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say an investigation has started and will examine the circumstances that led to the crash.

It follows an incident on Sunday where a woman was hit by a car after an allegedly disqualified driver crashed into multiple vehicles at Sheidow Park.
Sian Kennedy, 29, remains in an induced coma after the crash, which happened while she was taking her mother’s bins out.
