Police investigate assault after man with stab wounds flags down ambulance at Seaton service station

Police are investigating an assault in the western suburbs on Tuesday night after a man with stab wounds flagged down ambos getting petrol at a servo.

Police are investigating an assault in the western suburbs on Tuesday night after an injured man flagged down an ambulance filling up at a service station.

Just after 8pm, a man with a chest injury walked to a service station on Tapleys Hill Rd, Seaton, and approached paramedics who were getting petrol.

The man, a 29-year-old from Adelaide, was taken to hospital where he has undergone treatment for his injury.

The investigation is in its early stages but it is believed the people involved are known to each other.

Police say the assault did not occur at the service station.

Hours later, in a separate incident, a man was arrested after allegedly robbing a Thebarton service station.

Just before 10pm, police were called to Port Rd after reports of a robbery.

A man had allegedly threatened a staff member before stealing the till and leaving the area on foot.

About 45 minutes later, police dog Chaos tracked a scent to an industrial area on Smith St, where she located the stolen, unopened till.

She continued tracking through the area and found the suspect nearby on George St, where a man was arrested.

A 24-year-old man from Torrensville was charged with robbery and refused police bail. He will appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
