Police hunting motorcyclist after three shots fired at white Mazda at car park in Prospect

Mystery surrounds a drive-by shooting police say happened earlier this month, with images released of a motorcyclist wanted for questioning.
At around 8.12pm on December 16, police were called to a car park on Koonga Ave in Prospect after multiple neighbours reported hearing gunshot sounds.
A man was captured on nearby CCTV on a black Yamaha MT07 motorcycle before discharging a firearm a number of times at a white Mazda 3.
The bike then travelled west through the nearby park before turning right onto Prospect Rd.
Crime scene investigators thoroughly examined the area, but were unable to find any bullet casings. A bike matching the description however returned to the area, but sped off after seeing police at the scene.
A similar bike, with dark blue wheels, was then photographed by a speed detection camera being ridden by a man matching the suspect’s description on Trimmer Pde at Seaton at 9.02pm.
Police believe the man photographed could be the suspect involved in the shooting.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance, between 20-30 years of age, has a tattoo on his left outer forearm and wore a white helmet, black T-shirt and black sleeveless puffer jacket, blue shorts and white sneakers.
At this stage, police are unable to comment if the motorcyclist and driver of the white Mazda were known to each other.
The Mazda was also seen on the evening heading south on Prospect Rd, with damage to its front left panel near the headlight.
