Pedophile childcare worker Bronte John Ciracovitch pleads guilty to more child sex crimes, including abusing young boy while being filmed

A childcare worker has confessed to more vile child sex offences, one that was filmed in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

Childcare pedophile Bronte John Ciracovitch has pleaded guilty to three more crimes – including abusing a four-year-old boy while being filmed on a mobile phone.

On Friday, the District Court called on Ciracovitch’s matter so he could enter pleas to charges including having maintained an unlawful sexual relationship with a child.

The confessions mean Ciracovitch will no longer stand trial for offending committed at and around a northern suburbs child care facility at which he was employed.

However, his former co-accused and ex-boyfriend, Kane Graham Rockley, continues to maintain his innocence and will stand trial over related alleged offending.

Ciracovitch, 30, has pleaded guilty to having produced, or taken steps to produce, child exploitation material in late 2020.

At that time, he was employed by Child Care Services Australia – some of the offending took place at one of its northern-suburbs centres.

Although Ciracovitch was arrested in September 2020, his identity remained suppressed by court order until March this year.

That suppression was revoked so that authorities could send letters to 180 families seeking further information about his offending.

Bronte John Ciracovitch has pleaded guilty to more child sex offences, including abusing a four-year-old boy while it was being filmed.

Ciracovitch faces a maximum 15-year prison term, because his victim was under the age of 14, but his plea earned a sentencing discount of up to 25 per cent.

In addition to those matters, Ciracovitch had originally pleaded not guilty to one count of maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship with a child.

He had also denied one aggravated and one basic count of possessing child exploitation material – all of those offences allegedly occurred in the northern suburbs in 2020.

Mr Rockley, 34, was arrested in October last year and accused of having set up the filming of Ciracovitch as he perpetrated acts of abuse upon a boy, 4.

He also pleaded not guilty, and both men were ordered to stand trial.

On Friday, counsel for Ciracovitch asked their client be rearraigned and he pleaded guilty to all three charges.

He was remanded in custody until next month, when a date for sentencing submissions will be set.

Ciracovitch still has one outstanding child abuse file in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.

His counsel have been seeking to negotiate a plea bargain in that matter, which also returns to court next month.
