A man has died after a crash near Brukunga in the Adelaide Hills on Monday evening. The driver of the car is still fighting for life in hospital.

A man has died after a crash in the Adelaide Hills on Monday evening.
A Ford ute crashed into a tree at about 5.30pm on Monday on Pyrites Road, just north of Brukunga.
The passenger in the ute, a 39-year-old man from Nairne, died at the scene.
The driver, a 28-year-old Brukunga man, was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Pyrites Road was closed for several hours on Monday night while Major Crash investigators surveyed the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash and have asked anyone who saw the car before the crash or who has information to contact Crime Stoppers.
It was the second fatal crash on the Easter long weekend.
Caleb McCabe, 24, died at Hillier on Saturday after crashing into a tree in a Hillier front yard.
The Brukunga crash marks the 35th death on SA roads this year.
