An OnlyFans star who was “missing in action” has shown up to court after a judge gave her a final chance before issuing a warrant.
Alice Mabel Weekes – who was making as much as $12,000 per month posting explicit videos and photos on OnlyFans – appeared in the District Court last week on her second arraignment date.
Weekes’ counsel, Sean Nottle previously told the court she was regrettably “missing in action” after she failed to show up for an arraignment hearing earlier this month.
“I haven’t been able to rouse Ms Weekes on any of my contact numbers for a couple of days,” he said.
After hearing Weekes’ attendance had been “sporadic”, Judge Geraldine Davison said she’d give her a final chance to show up for court or a warrant would be issued.
Weekes pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and possessing an unregistered firearm prior to trial. A drug trafficking charge was dropped.
Ms Weekes’ co-accused, Fitzroy man Leonard Robert Richard Wilkins, 38, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and possessing a firearm without a licence.
The serious charges of false imprisonment, theft, arson and discharging a firearm to injure, annoy or frighten a person were dropped against the duo after a court previously heard the alleged victim, 31-year-old Corey James McGhee, refused to co-operate with police and supply a statement.
During Wilkins’ sentencing in February, the District Court heard police searched a premises on May 29, 2022.
They found three plastic resealable bags containing methamphetamine on the coffee table, $4500 and a sawn-off .22 calibre rifle inside a backpack on the couch.
An attached magazine contained three rounds of ammunition.
“Evidence retrieved from your telephone revealed that you were involved in ongoing drug trafficking and possession of firearms,” Judge Paul Muscat said.
The court heard Wilkins was released on bail in December 2022.
On February 21, 2023 the police attended the Arkaba Hotel where they found Wilkins in the gaming room and searched his bag.
They discovered two quantities of methamphetamine with a combined weight of 6.19g, numerous drug deal bags, $1,236 and a set of digital scales.
Wilkins told police he was a drug addict and denied selling the drugs.
However, an analysis of his phone revealed evidence Wilkins was again selling methamphetamine.
The court heard Wilkins relapsed back into drug use due to boredom during the Covid pandemic after he lost his job as a cook.
“Money that you had saved from working soon disappeared and you took to selling drugs to enable your continued use of drugs and also to have sufficient money to exist,” Judge Muscat said.
Wilkins was sentenced to five years and six months jail, with a non-parole period of three years.
The sentence was backdated to July 31, 2022.
Judge Davison allowed Weekes to continue her bail and adjourned the charges until February next year for sentencing submissions.
