Mount Gambier man charged, remanded in custody over recent break-ins

A Mount Gambier man has been arrested and charged with a spate of break-ins and other dishonesty offences.

As part of an investigation into a recent series of crimes, Mount Gambier police and Limestone Coast CIB detectives searched a Mount Gambier address about 6.20pm on Monday.

Officers allegedly found several items linking the occupant, a 43-year-old Mount Gambier man, to a spate of recent break-ins and other dishonesty offences in Mount Gambier.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass (non-residential), two counts of unlawfully on premises and six counts of theft and illegal interference.

He was refused bail and appeared in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he was remanded in custody.

He will appear again in court next week.
