A man somehow escaped injury after the car he was driving plummeted 20 metres off a cliff onto a rocky beach at Hallett Cove in Adelaide’s south.
Police and emergency services were called to Heron Way about 8.50pm on Tuesday after receiving reports a white Toyota sedan had left the road, skimmed over cliffs and landed on the rocky beach below.
It is understood the driver was uninjured and taken to hospital for a check-up.
Heron Way is the location of the popular beachside Heron Way Reserve and playground and where the Boatshed cafe, restaurant and bar can be found.
Police investigations are continuing, and the vehicle was craned off the beach early on Wednesday morning.
