Man stabbed, woman charged with attempted murder at Ceduna

A man has been found with a stab wound to his chest at a motel on the state’s west coast while a woman was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder.

A man has been flown to hospital and a woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing on the state’s west coast.

About 8.45pm on Sunday, January 7, emergency services were called to a motel on McKenzie St after reports of a stabbing.

Police report a 26-year-old Hindmarsh man was found with a stab wound to his chest.

The man was taken to Ceduna Hospital, before being flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A woman known to the man, a 28-year-old from the APY Lands, was arrested at the scene.

She has been charged with attempted murder and refused bail to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court today, January 8.
