Molotov cocktail attack sparks house fire inside a southern suburbs home
CCTV footage reveals the moment a molotov cocktail was hurled at an Adelaide home in an attack possibly connected to a stabbing at a backyard barbecue hours earlier.

A molotov cocktail attack is believed to have sparked a fire inside a two-storey Aldinga Beach home.
Emergency services, including police and Country Fire Services crews, were called to a house fire on Atkinson Crescent just after 9.15pm on Monday.
No one was at home at the property.
About 15 firefighters tackled the blaze and stopped it from spreading.

The blaze caused extensive damage to the property and caused the roof to collapse, leaving an estimated damage bill of $300,000.
Fire cause investigators and teams from SA Ambulance and SA Power Networks also attended the scene.
Police allege a molotov cocktail was thrown at the property and are now investigating if the incident is linked to an alleged assault where a man was stabbed in the hand on Monday (see below).

Man assaulted by knife
A 48-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a stab wound to his hand following an alleged assault at Aldinga Beach during a family barbecue on Monday.
Footage from 7NEWS shows the knife was still protruding from the man’s hand as he was being loaded into the ambulance.
Police and paramedics responded to reports of an assault on Hamilton Rd at around 12.40pm.
According to 7NEWS, detectives surrounded the residence and police broke down the door with a mallet and crowbar.
The people inside refused to co-operate, with police still trying to determine who stabbed the man and for what reason.
Emergency services arrived at the victim’s home on Hamilton Rd to find him wounded. 7NEWS reported that the incident happened during a long weekend backyard barbecue.
Police said the man’s injuries are non-life-threatening.
