Man charged after online sale turns into stabbing at Golden Grove

Two men were rushed to hospital on Saturday night and another man is in custody after an online sale turned bloody.

A man has been arrested after an online sale turned into a brutal stabbing at Golden Grove that left multiple people injured, including one with stab wounds to the chest.

Emergency services were called to Piccadilly Circus around 6pm on Saturday after reports a man had stabbed two other men with a knife and then fled the scene.

The man had gone to the victims’ house to sell an item he had advertised online.

One of the victims ran after the man and managed to alert police in which direction the suspect had run.

He was located nearby in Newark Court.

The two victims were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries, with one man being stabbed in the chest, while the other was stabbed in the leg.

A 22-year-old man from Elizabeth South was charged with two counts of aggravated causing harm with intent.

The man and one of the victims are known to each other.

Police say this was not a random incident.
