A man who allegedly dropped off drugs hidden in food delivery bags to quarantining guests at an Adelaide medi-hotel – despite the heavy police presence – has been arrested.

A man posing as a food delivery worker has been arrested after allegedly trying to bring drugs to quarantining guests at an Adelaide medi-hotel.
A man went to the CBD site carrying two food delivery bags claiming he was there to deliver food to people quarantine at the hotel about 7.40pm Wednesday.
There were no receipts or details attached to the bags, and when police searched them they found a small amount of heroin and other drugs.
The bags were seized and the West Hindmarsh man, 27, was arrested at his home on Thursday morning.
He was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and was bailed to appear in court in January.
Medi-hotels have provided a captive market for food delivery services that have found lifelines in detainees ordering meals.
The drug arrest follows the arrest of three people at the Pullman medi-hotel on Thursday.
Police armed with bolt cutters stormed the Hindmarsh Square site about 3pm and arrested the trio after they allegedly lied to border patrols on Wednesday night when they were stopped near Loxton, close to the SA/Victoria border.
The trio – from Victoria and NSW – were expected to face court on Friday.
