A man in his 20s has faced court after allegedly being busted with nearly half a million dollars worth of cannabis at the airport.

A man who was allegedly busted with more than half a million dollars worth of cannabis at Adelaide Airport has faced court for the first time.
Edward Nguyen, 27 of Rosewater, has been charged with trafficking in a marketable quantity of a controlled drug after AFP officers
The bags had been checked in by a man on a domestic Virgin Airlines flight due to depart from Adelaide.
It is understood the sealed bags of cannabis had not been picked up by the airport’s X-ray machines.
In court documents, police allege Mr Nguyen was the man responsible for bringing the drugs on board, which is a commonwealth offence.
He was remanded on continuing bail to face court again in October.
His appearance in court comes the day after another man was removed from a plane and arrested at Adelaide Airport after a huge haul of cannabis was allegedly found in luggage.
7NEWS reported the Australian Federal Police seized 25kg of cannabis – worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – discovered in checked-in bags on Wednesday, August 7.
It is understood the cannabis packages passed through the airport’s X-ray machines and were set to be loaded on a Virgin flight from Adelaide to Sydney.
A man who had already boarded the flight was removed from the aircraft by police.
The 54-year-old was charged with drug trafficking and using a fake identification and is set to face court in November.
It is not suggested the two cases are linked in any way.
