A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Gepps Cross last night.

Emergency services were called to Main North Rd around 10.15pm after reports a pedestrian was hit by a car.

A 31-year-old man of no fixed address was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being taken to hospital.


His injuries are not considered life threatening at this time.

The driver of the Volvo is assisting police with their investigation.

It comes after a woman died after being by a garbage truck at Salisbury on Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but succumbed to her injuries and died on Thursday.

The woman’s death is the 11th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
