A 15-year-old was arrested after police allege patrols heard a robbery in progress in the northern suburbs last night.
A teenager armed with a knife was in the act of robbing a Davoren Park liquor store before patrols intervened, police allege.
Police report they stopped the robbery at around 8.30pm on Tuesday night, December 5, when a patrol in the area heard a “commotion”.
The patrol entered the Peachey Rd store and found a cabinet had been smashed and a suitcase which was filled with top-shelf whiskeys.
The suspect, who was allegedly armed with a knife, was immediately arrested without incident.
There were no injuries to staff.
The 15-year-old boy from Mansfield Park was taken to the Elizabeth Police Station to be charged and interviewed in relation to the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
