Isaac Tunde Omamogho to stand trial for alleged violent home invasion in Gulfview Heights

The man who allegedly broke in to a Gulfview Heights home and stabbed three occupants allegedly alongside a teen will defend the allegations at trial.
On Monday, Isaac Tunde Omamogho, 20, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court from police custody to answer the charges before the court.
Magistrate Brian Nitschke read each of the charges to the court, and the 20-year-old responded “not guilty” through the video link.
Mr Omamogho will now face trial on one count each of aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated cause serious harm with intent, aggravated recklessly cause harm and aggravated assault.
Mr Omamogho was arrested by Operation Meld and Northern District CIB detectives after emergency services were called to Nelson Rd in Gulfview Heights after being alerted to the incident about 3.45am.
Prosecutors alleged Mr Omamogho, and his 16-year-old co-accused forced entry into the home and injured two occupants – after which they escaped arrest by jumping into a vehicle and turning onto Yulinda Terrace.
The youth pleaded guilty to the offending and was sentenced for his participation.
A 53-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds.
A third person was also taken to hospital with minor injuries after being assaulted.
The matter will move to the District Court in July.
