A man has been reported for allegedly causing a bushfire after a blaze broke out during a day of record heat.

A 49-year-old Mount Torrens man has been reported for allegedly recklessly causing a bushfire after a blaze erupted during a day of extreme heat on Wednesday.
A man was working on his property on Warmington Run, about 3.20pm, when the power tool he was using created sparks and allegedly ignited the dry grass.
Police say a fire broke out in the paddock and then spread to a neighbouring property.
CFS crews were called in to stop the fire spreading amid 40-plus degree temperatures, and aircraft support helped firefighters contain it to paddocks about an hour later.
About 18 hectares of land was burnt with damage caused to fencing, but no other structures were involved.
The man was reported for allegedly recklessly causing a bushfire and regulatory offences under the Fire and Emergency Services Regulations.
He will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
Firefighters remained on the scene into the evening to monitor and extinguish any hot spots.
Fire crews also went to a grass and stubble fire at Auldana in the city’s eastern suburbs about 5pm on Wednesday.
The Wilmington blaze, which started last week and saw a volunteer firey severely injured, continues to burn, with nearby crews also providing support.
