A mum who has “how easy we give up our lives to the living death of addiction” as a bio online is guilty of failing to provide her kids with food, clothing or accommodation.

A mother will be sentenced next month for failing to provide necessary food, clothing or accommodation to her children.

Choking back tears, Glenys Kupfer, 34, admitted her guilt to neglecting her four children in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday.

The court heard Kupfer was responsible for caring for her four children when she failed to do so on March 1, 2019 at Blair Athol.

Kupfer, who had a duty of care to the victim and was liable to provide necessary food, clothing or accommodation to a child failed to take steps that she would have been reasonably expected to take in the circumstances to provide for that victim.

On the same date and location, Kupfer also failed to provide necessary food, clothing or accommodation to her three other children.

Kupfer, of Hectorville, has “how easy we give up our lives to the living death of addiction” written in her Facebook bio and lists herself as a full-time stay at home mum on her LinkedIn profile.

A police prosecutor told the court that upon guilty pleas to those four charges, they would be withdrawing a charge of aggravated assault against child or spouse, which Kupfer was charged with on August 30 at Hectorville.

Magistrate Nick Alexandrides adjourned sentencing and submissions until August.
