Gepps Cross staff member cut by alleged shoplifter in daylight robbery
Police are hunting for a man after a Gepps Cross worker was attacked and slashed with a knife in a daylight shoplifting attempt.

A Gepps Cross shop worker has been assaulted after attempting to thwart a shoplifting attempt.
Police say a man attempted to steal a number of items from the Main North Road electronics store just after 12.30pm on Thursday, but was stopped by staff before he could leave.
After returning some goods, the man then allegedly pulled out a knife and sliced a staff member’s arm before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as about 183cm tall with a medium build and was wearing dark clothing.

Police say the worker suffered minor injuries.
