Former relief teacher Phillip Callen faces court over indecent assault of a child
A teacher who worked at multiple Adelaide primary schools over a span of 13 years has faced court over the alleged indecent assault of a child.

A relief teacher who worked across primary schools in Adelaide’s inner-south and the Hills over a span of 13 years has faced court over child sex charges.
Former educator Phillip Callen, 67, of Toorak Gardens, appeared in court on September 8 after being charged with indecent assault of a child.
In a letter sent to parents on Thursday, Goodwood Primary School and Preschool acting principal Anthea Bartlett said Mr Callen worked at the school between 2008 and 2021, for a total of nine days.
Ms Bartlett said the alleged incident did not occur at the school.
Parents with any information that may assist the police investigation have been asked to contact SA Police.
A separate letter was sent to parents at Belair Primary on Tuesday informing them that Mr Callen had worked at the school.
Mr Callen is due to appear in court again on November 3.
