Ewe lost, mate? A pair of sheep found wandering in Adelaide’s eastern suburb of Kensington

Motorists must have been thinking “ewe must be joking” when they spied two sheep hanging out in Adelaide’s inner east. Maybe they were waiting for an Uber to the Ramsgate?

Motorists must have been thinking “ewe must be joking” when they encountered two sheep wandering some of Adelaide’s busiest streets on Tuesday night.

The ewes were found near the intersection of Portrush Rd and Kensington Rd at Kensington about 6pm.

SA Police said the discovery of livestock so near the city was unusual, and they couldn’t help making some sheepish jokes.

“We’re not trying to pull the wool over your eyes, police need your help to identify the owner of these two sheep,” a police spokesperson said.

SA Police were quick to confirm the sheep were not found on “Shepherds Hill Rd”, and that the duo were not believed to be from “Ramco”.

And, our friends at SA Police were just as witty when announcing their owner of the missing sheep had been identified, with the animals being returned to them on Wednesday.

“There’s “mutton” to see here,” police said.
