A man has died after his car slammed into a tree at Ardrossan on the Yorke Peninsula.
Emergency services were called to Maitland Rd, between Main Coast Rd and Old Pump Rd about 9.50am on Sunday to reports of a serious crash.
The driver, a 74-year-old local man, died at the scene.
Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
The man’s death is the 15th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
