The identity of the man accused of murdering Nathan Russell in a “vicious, targeted” attack can be revealed.
On Tuesday, the Adelaide Magistrates Court revoked a suppression order on the identity of Dylan John Kovaskis.
Kovaskis, 24, has yet to plead to one count of murder over an alleged incident at Mr Russell’s apartment on Sturt St, in the city, in January.
Previously, police have alleged one of Mr Russell’s friends contacted police after discovering his body in a block of Housing SA units.
They have not released details of the manner in which Mr Russell died, but have said he was “targeted” at his address and “subjected to a vicious attack”.
Kovaskis’ identity was suppressed following his arrest in order to safeguard the integrity of ongoing police investigations.
On Tuesday, police prosecutors informed the court that was no longer necessary, and asked the suppression order be revoked.
Kovaskis was remanded in custody and will answer the charge in July.
