Driver turns himself in after hit-and-run crashes at Lightsview and Clearview
The driver who almost hit two children during one of two hit-and-run crashes on Friday has turned himself into police.

A driver wanted after a spate of crashes in Adelaide’s north, including one where two children were nearly hit, has turned himself into police.
The alleged driver of a Mini Cooper, a 44-year-old man from Lightsview, presented himself to police at Holden Hill Police Station on Sunday evening.
Police were searching for the driver after two hit-and-run crashes at Clearview and Lightsview about 8pm on Friday.
The driver hit a light pole on Hampstead Rd, Clearview, before turning down East Parkway, Lightsview, and losing control the car, mounting the kerb and hitting a letterbox in front of a house.
The home’s occupants were in the front yard at the time and were almost hit by the car, but were not injured.
After an interview with police about the crashes, the man was reported for driving without due car, driving in a manner dangerous, failing to exchange particulars and two counts of failing to report collision.
He lost his licence for 12 months and will be summoned to attend the court at a later date.
Tara Colledge spoke to The Advertiser on Saturday, and described the horrifying moment the car narrowly missed running over her kids outside their Lightsview home.
The crash occurred as she was walking into the family home with a friend after a dinner outing.
