Damage bills climb as house fires reported in Beverley, Gillman, Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge
Four separate house fires have caused extensive damage to properties across the state overnight, with a woman taken to hospital as her pet was rescued from a burning home.

Fire crews were kept busy with house fires overnight across Adelaide and the Murraylands.
Firefighters went to a house blaze at Gillman in the early house of January 9 after the alarm was rained at 12.45am to reports of a house fire on Derby St.
An MFS spokesman said a woman was taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation while a cat was saved from within the home.
Four fire trucks and 18 firefighters extinguished the fire before a neighbouring duplex home was damaged and the cause has yet to be determined.
FIVEaa reported an electrical fault in a treadmill was being blamed.
It comes as police investigated another house fire at Beverley on Monday night.
Just before 7.30pm on Monday, January 8, police and fire crews were called to Wodonga St after reports of a house on fire.
On arrival they found the roof fully ablaze, and the fire had spread to the garage.
Luckily the occupants – a woman and her son – managed to escape without injury. However the woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
An MFS spokesman estimated the damage bill at $500,000 and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental but undetermined.
In Murray Bridge, the CFS were called to a house fire at Tooma Dr, Riverglades, at 1.30am on January 9.
In a joint response, both the CFS and MFS sent two trucks each to the home, where two occupants had safely escaped the blaze.
Crews quickly contained the fire to the carport, which had been converted into a games room, and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the property.
The damage bill to the structure and contents is estimated at $50,000 and investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
A CFS spokesman said two occupants managed to safely escape.
Hours later, a house fire further south-east in the Murraylands also caused about $50,000 damage.
CFS crews were called to a structure fire at Tailem Bend just before 3am, January 9.
Four CFS trucks and a bulk water carrier were sent to Blackett Road, following reports of a large shed fire.
The 20 by 20 metre shed had been converted into a home and was inhabited by an occupant – who managed to flee the fire.
Crews worked quickly to extinguish it and prevent it from spreading to nearby grass and scrubland.
Fire cause investigators will go to the site later this morning.
