Four alleged members of a criminal organisation have pleaded guilty to breaching the state’s anti-crime gang laws, with the magistrate warning against contact with outlawed bikie gangs.

In Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday, Jed William Carlyle, 28, Nathan Brook Englander, Cameron Zadow, 24, and Michael Andrew Resetar, 35, pleaded guilty through counsel to charges of being present with two or more criminal organisation participants.

According to court documents, the offence occurred on December 22 last year.

The four are among six men facing court on consorting charges.

Murray Bridge local Chace Houston, 24, pleaded guilty to the charge earlier.

South Australian laws ban three or more members of a declared criminal organisation from being present in a public place, with a penalty of up to three years’ imprisonment.

The men were charged under Section 83GC(1) of the criminal law consolidation act, which declares ten motorcycle clubs as criminal organisations in SA.

Counsel for Karl Rerich, 34 – one of the accused – did not enter a plea.

Instead, he sought a pre-trial conference and said letters of negotiation have been sent to the prosecution.

He said the outcome of a January hearing could impact his client’s case.

In assessing Mr Rerich’s case, Magistrate Jay Pandya sought to confirm he had “no contact with the others or any outlawed motorcycle gangs”.

She also warned all the defendants against visiting liquor store BWS on Gilbert St in Adelaide.

The matter is expected to return to court next year.
