A member of the Comanchero Motorcycle Gang has been spared jail for headbutting a man at an Adelaide pub before chasing a security guard.

Daniel Abrahamson, 37, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm and fighting over the incident at the Cumberland Arms Hotel on March 21, 2021.

Abrahamson is alleged to have gone by the user name “Rambo” on the encrypted AN0M platform, which was secretly being monitored by police.

On March 22, 2021, a message sent from the user alleged to be Abrahamson mentioned a fight the night before.

“Yeah I’m good bro,” the message reads. “Huge one sat … headbutted a c**t so I’m not going out anymore lol.”

On Monday, Magistrate Lynette Duncan said the drunken fight in the early hours of the morning started when the pub closed.

A line-up of people was waiting to leave the venue and Abrahamson and a female friend cut the line to exit.

Abrahamson said he had not seen any signage and there had been no direction from security to join the queue to leave.

One of the people waiting admonished him for cutting the line and Abrahamson responded by headbutting him to the bridge of the nose.

The victim suffered a concussion and a chipped tooth from the blow, which knocked him to the ground.

“Due to your level of intoxication you were unaware of the injuries you had caused to the victim,” Ms Duncan said.

The victim’s friends and girlfriend intervened.

“You went into what has been described as a rage or a rampage,” Ms Duncan said.

“One of the men pointed briefly at his chin and you took this is a challenge to fight and begun swinging at him.”

Abrahamson briefly chased man but dropped something on the ground and went back to retrieve it.

A security guard walked out of the pub and Abrahamson approached him before the guard fled back inside the venue.

Ms Duncan said Abrahamson had claimed he only wanted to talk to the security guard about the lack of direction when leaving the venue.

“I have seen the footage, the security guard did not believe you just wanted to talk,” she said.

“Public drunken violence is all too prevalent in the community. You have conceded that your intoxication at the time provides absolutely no excuse for you losing control.

“In the cold light of day you acknowledge you should have just walked away.”

Abrahamson was sentenced to three months and three weeks in prison, suspended once he entered into a good-behaviour bond.
