A pair of alleged meth cooks have been arrested after police found a clandestine laboratory at a property in the southern suburbs.
About 9am on Monday, police searched an abandoned car workshop on South Road, at Clovelly Park.
Officers found a lab full of chemicals and equipment used for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Members of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch returned to the scene today in Hazmat suits and processed the clandestine laboratory.
They seized about 30ml of liquid fantasy, 5g of methamphetamine and various drug-related equipment.
A 50-year-old Bellevue Heights man and a 37-year-old Mitchell Park woman were arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled drug, manufacturing a controlled drug, possessing precursor for the manufacturing of drugs and three counts of firearm offences.
