Bandidos bikie Nathan Brook Englander, pleads not guilty after loaded gun, meth allegedly discovered in police raid
A bikie allegedly trafficking meth across Adelaide on his Harley had a loaded gun when he led the police helicopter on a high-speed chase, a court has heard.
A Bandidos bikie has denied allegations he trafficked meth throughout suburban Adelaide before leading police on a motorcycle chase across the state with a loaded gun.
Nathan Brook Englander, 36, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated drug trafficking, firearm charges, and one count each of dangerous driving to cause a police pursuit and induce a witness not to give evidence.
Mr Englander, of Aldinga Beach, is accused of identifying himself as “belonging to a criminal organisation” when he allegedly engaged in drug trafficking in Modbury North and Seaford Meadows.
Mr Englander was arrested and charged after a traffic stop allegedly led to the discovery of illicit drugs and a loaded gun in December last year.
Police previously alleged they spotted Mr Englander riding a Harley Davidson while wearing a Comanchero vest travelling in the Seaford Meadows area about 3.30pm before patrols attempted to stop him.
At an unrelated court appearance earlier this year, it was submitted he was now a member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.
Mr Englander allegedly failed to stop and rode away from police at speed – who did not pursue but, instead, called in PolAir to track him.
Officers from the Crime Gangs Task Force later swooped in and arrested Mr Englander at a Modbury North hotel.
Upon his arrest, he was allegedly found in possession of a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine and a loaded firearm at an Elizabeth Downs address.
On Tuesday, Mr Englander was remanded in custody to face the District Court next year where he will be arraigned for trial.
