Bag of money found buried in scrub at Laura Bay near Ceduna off Flinders Highway
A bag of cash has been found buried in scrubland just off a major SA highway, with police now investigating.

A shopping bag filled with large amounts of cash has been unearthed near a major highway in the Eyre Peninsula.
South Australian Police were called to Laura Bay, just off the Flinders Highway near Ceduna, at 10.30am on Monday following reports of a “slightly” buried shopping bag had been located in the scrub
Officers attended and unearthed the bag, which contained a large quantity of money in large denomination notes.
Police believe the money may have been buried within the scrub for a “substantial” amount of time.
Laura Bay Conservation Park offers self-sufficient bush camping.
Investigations are continuing, and anyone with information about the cash or have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
