A former reality TV star was stabbed in the back at a Para Hills West party on Sunday morning.
Paddy Colliar, a contestant on 2018’s The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise 2019, received minor stab wounds to the back at a Beafield Rd fitness studio just before 1.30am on Sunday.
Police allege the suspect had an altercation with a woman, before Mr Colliar stepped in and was attacked.
Mr Colliar was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a minor wound.
He took to social media to assure people he was recovering well.
“Appreciate the messages guys I’m doing OK just lost a fair bit of blood and have broken ribs,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Lucky to still be here.”
Mr Colliar has amassed an Instagram following of over 67,000 people, and also posts explicit subscription-only content to OnlyFans.
About 30 people were at the function, police said.
The suspect left before patrols arrived, but was located and arrested at a nearby service station.
The 23-year-old from Semaphore was charged with aggravated assault cause harm and was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on September 17.
Police also investigated breaches of the Emergency Management Act directions.
