An axe-wielding woman has been captured on CCTV footage during a rampage at a northern suburbs fast-food drive-through, leaving a teen boy too terrified to return to work.
The 15-year-old boy was working at Hungry Jacks on Churchill Rd, Prospect, when a female customer approached the drive-through window, just before 11pm on Thursday.
She was then seen exiting the car to retrieve an axe from the boot before she began screaming at workers and swinging the axe at the window.
“Our hearts were racing at this point, and we were scared, ” the teenager – who remained anonymous – told 7News.
“And then, she pulls down to the next window, weirdly starts licking it and then starts axing that window as well.
“Then she does another lap and does the exact same thing. At that point the cops were called and then she left.
“There’s no way we could stop that if she was to enter the building.”
Following the violent attack, the woman was seen getting back into her car empty-handed, before fleeing from the fast-food restaurant.
The workers have been offered counselling, as police continue searching for the women.
