Alleged parent poisoning murderer Raelene Polymiadis has appealed her failed bid for bail in the state’s highest court – but everything said during the unannounced hearing has been suppressed.

Late on Thursday, the Courts Administration Authority issued an email saying the Supreme Court had suppressed “all submissions made” in its hearing concerning Raelene Polymiadis.

However, Mrs Polymiadis’ name and charges do not appear on any of the court’s published case lists for the day.

Mrs Polymiadis, 62, of Craigmore, has yet to plead to two counts of murder over the deaths of her mother, Brenda Anderson, on March 15, 2022, and father, Lynton Anderson, on April 30 this year.

In the Adelaide Magistrates Court last week, prosecutors alleged she twice administered insulin to Mrs Anderson, who was not diabetic, resulting in her death.

They also alleged she did the same to Mr Anderson – who was also not diabetic – a year later.

They further alleged she “scattered” anti-anxiety medication near his unresponsive body in “an attempt to make this look like a suicide”.

Those allegations, together with other accusations that have been suppressed by court order – including Mrs Polymiadis’ purported motive – convinced the court to refuse home detention bail.

Under state law, an alleged offender may appeal a Magistrate’s refusal of bail to the Supreme Court.

At 3.18pm on Thursday, the Courts Administration Authority advised the media, by email, that Justice Julie McIntyre had imposed further suppression orders over the case.

The CAA said Mrs Polymiadis’ hearing had commenced at at 3pm, and had been adjourned until next week for further submissions.
