Several windows at the property have been boarded up after the glass was smashed to gain access.

Neighbour Sue Holtham said she was devastated.

“Somebody should have been staying there to look after the place,” she said.

“It’s not nice, it’s shocking, I hope they catch whoever’s done it.”

It’s understood one family member checks the property each day for signs of criminal activity.

The revelation comes just days after accused killer Raelene Polymiadis, 62, was released from custody after her family agreed to forfeit more than half a million dollars should she disobey home detention conditions.

On Thursday, she declined to comment outside prison, and wore a mask to cover her face.

Polymiadis has yet to plead to two counts of murder over the deaths of her parents from alleged insulin poisoning within a year of each other.
