A man has died after an alleged assault at Seaton.

It is believed that at around 4.14pm on Thursday, police and emergency services were called to a house in Minns Street East, Seaton after reports of a fight between two men known to each other.

One of the men suffered serious injuries and was being treated by paramedics, but has now died.

Robert Hann Sto Domingo has lived in the street for the past eight years, and said it was normally a quiet area.

He was “shocked” when he returned home today to see police blocking the street off.

Mr Sto Domingo said he did not know the residents personally, but always saw two men outside of the house on a day-to-day basis, and said the residents had regular visits.

“I always see them cleaning the front of their house, sometimes their car.

“I also always see people stopping in the front of the house, people walk up to the door and knock and the men usually come outside and speak to them at the gate.”
