Midwinter wine comes to the old RAH

YEP, it might feel a bit cold to get out to a wine tasting, but the old Royal Adelaide Hospital foyer has plenty of cover to host 15 South Australian wineries and five food outlets on Friday for Solstice: A Midwinter Cellar Door – a combined SA Wine Industry Association, Food SA, 365 Days of Wine and Food and Great Wine Capital of the World event.
Entry is a $5 souvenir glass, to explore top winter drops from the likes of Ashton Hills Vineyard, Byrne Vineyards, Claymore, Golding, Hugo, Kimbolton, Longview, Majella, Penny’s Hill and Yangarra, plus food from Beyond India, Bracegirdles Chocolate, Forage & Feast, KimchiClub and Woodside Cheese Wrights.
It’s all pay-as-you-go, with wines available by half and full-glass pours. You also can buy a bottle to take home.
