Crafers Hotel takes out award as best overall hotel in the country
THE best hotel in Australia is in the Adelaide Hills, of course — so have you experienced its “amazing food and beverage facilities, wonderful accommodation and its commitment to outstanding training and customer service” yet?
CRAFERS Hotel has won best overall hotel in the country in national awards announced on the Gold Coast on Monday.
The historic hotel has been transformed in recent years, and it won a slew of Australian Hotels Association’s state awards.
The national AHA said the Crafers Hotel’s “amazing food and beverage facilities, wonderful accommodation and its commitment to outstanding training and customer service” made it the best overall hotel in Australia.
AHA national president Scott Leach said the winners, chosen from more than 5000 members nationwide, were the reason Australian hotels continue to lead the world.
“In a time of great change — when every customer is a potential reviewer — our industry continues to set the standard internationally,” he said.
Other South Australian hotels to pick up national awards were:
• Sporties Tavern, Port Pirie, for best regional bar presentation and service
• Lakes Resort Hotel for the best metropolitan gaming venue
• Largs Pier Hotel for best mid-range accommodation
• Apothecary for best metropolitan restaurant.
The AHA’s state general manager, Ian Horne, commended the South Australian winners.
“These awards show that South Australian Hotels are among the best in the country and continue to lead the Australian Hotel Industry in a range of areas. These hotels should be very proud of their achievements,” he said.
