THE guys behind Big Shed Brewing are taking over the front bar of the West Thebarton Hotel, revamping the space as the West Thebby Social Club.

It’s the second bar project for co-founders Craig Basford and Jason Harris, following the hugely popular Westside Massive in Semaphore.

West Thebby Social Club will be a haunt for craft beer and the food that goes with it, plus live music.

“It’s still going to be a front bar and that means it’s got to be comfortable and relaxed,” says Craig, adding that the design works will include a little fresh paint, furniture and a stage.

“We don’t want it to be overworked or pretentious. The bones of the pub are really cool; it’s got character.”

Open mid-December. 51 South Rd, Thebarton
