Did Apple include hidden messages about the iPhone 8 in its latest event invite?
APPLE sent out an invite for its annual flagship event and depending on who you ask, it holds some key clues about the upcoming iPhone 8.
Smartphone
Don't miss out on the headlines from Smartphone. Followed categories will be added to My News.
APPLE has confirmed it will be holding a special event on September 12 at the company’s new HQ in California to unveil its latest products.
The event invite contained an Apple logo, “let’s meet at our place” tagline and a reminder it would be “the first-ever event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino”.
While the event invite didn’t explicitly make mention of any of the products Apple is expected to announce, interment sleuths believe it contains hidden messages about the new line-up.
OLED DISPLAY
The iPhone 8 has long been rumoured to contain an OLED display and an analytical Apple fan believes the company confirmed this with the invite.
When looking at the colours in the logo on the invite, the smartphone sleuth discovered the tech giant had used the orange, light blue, ecru and dark blue, which they claimed was acronym for OLED — the actual acronym is organic light-emitting diode.

MADE IN THE USA
While some people think the colour of the Apple confirms the OLED display, others believe the patriotic red, white and blue logo is evidence the iPhone 8 will be the first to be built in the USA.
The hint would fit with Trump’s efforts to have Apple build its gadgets in the USA rather than China, with the President previously saying he would offer “incentives” for the company to do so.

THREE MODELS
Apple has long been rumoured to be releasing the iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and tenth anniversary edition iPhone 8.
Wall Street Journal tech columnist Joanna Stern was quick to suggest the red, white, and blue in the logo didn’t demonstrate any of the suggestions above, rather it confirmed Apple would be releasing three separate phones.

EVERYTHING ELSE
Some of the ‘hidden messages’ already discussed might seem like a bit of stretch, but they have nothing on what some people believe the invite represents.
Firstly, there is the person who believes the white on the logo is a credit card paying for the new iPhone 8, which is expected to cost well over $1000.
