Apple’s iPhone 8 users complain of irritating ‘crackling’ sound when talking on the device  

IF YOU went out and purchased an iPhone 8, there is a chance your device could be faulty with Apple admitting to an issue with its latest smartphone.

APPLE fans who forked out $A1079 for the iPhone 8 have been complaining of a very irritating problem when making calls.

Customers have reported irritating “static crackling” while talking on the device, reports The Sun.

The noise appears to be coming from the earpiece on the phone and happens during FaceTime and normal calls.

One frustrated customer uploaded a clip of his phone call on YouTube, and those commenting underneath claimed to be experiencing the same problem.

Teresa Michele wrote: “I have reset several times but still have the problem. But not on speaker calls.”

The noise appears to crop up sporadically and corrects itself when using the loudspeaker.

According to The Verge, Apple has confirmed there’s an issue and is working on a fix that will be sent out in a software update.

So if you are experiencing the same problem, hold tight because a fix on its way.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus comes in space grey, silver and a gold finish in increased 64GB and 256GB capacity models.

The gadgets don’t look drastically different from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus but have the addition of wireless charging.

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have snazzy glass designs on the front and back and also feature an “A11 bionic” chip which runs super fast, and both are made from steel and copper and are waterproof.

An all new 12-megapixel sensor with 83 per cent more light and an improved portrait mode.

The 8 Plus has stuck with dual 12MP sensors and will include a dual-camera feature called “Portrait Lighting”, which allows users to rework the lighting while composing the shot to add a sense of depth.

In terms of video, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus can shoot 4K 60 frames per second and 1080p 240 frames per second in slow-mo. The iPhone is calibrated for augmented reality photos, apps and games.
