OI, MACCA’S run s’arvo, mate? A new video has spelt out the true blue way to speak when you’re Down Under.

“AFTER smoko I might go down the bowlo s'arvo for a schnitty and bevvy with Tommo.”

If you’re from Down Under you probably wouldn’t even think about it, but speaking Aussie isn’t just about the accent. It’s an entire vocabulary.

The golden rule? Abbreviate everything.

This hilarious video on “How to speak Australian” has gone viral, teaching every translation from “This afternoon” (s’arvo) to “McDonald’s” (Macca’s) to the PROPER name for this mighty fine country: Straya.

The video, featuring Rhys Keir and Josh Hawkins on Josh’s Facebook page, has been viewed over 500,000 times and received over 11,000 shares.
