VIRTUAL reality glasses have been put to use countless ways in the last 12 months, but using them to see what it’s like to be Sonic the Hedehog has to be one of the coolest ways yet.

Using a collection of source code that allows fans to create their own version of Sonic, one enterprising Youtube user has unveiled a Sonic the Hedgehog game that works using the Oculus Rift virtual reality glasses.

“This is one of those games where if you kind of get woozy on those roller-coasters in theme parks I recommend you probably stay away from this one,” the Youtube user known as Chadtronic said.

It certainly seems like he’s right looking at this footage!
