A man has been caught stacking dozens of sandbags on his roof in preparation for Cyclone Alfred, leaving many confused.

North-west of Karratha, the fossil fuel rig is located roughly 135 kilometres off the coast of Western Australia. According to Woodside, the complex has a daily production capacity of up to 66,000 tonnes of dry gas and 6000 tonnes of condensate. The massive offshore rig is located north of the Montebello Marine Park and the Dampier Archipelago, areas teeming with marine life and including the endangered hawksbill and green turtle.
