An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 has been recorded off the Western Australian coast.
Geoscience Australia recorded the quake offshore in the Southern Ocean off the coast of the D’Entrecasteaux National Park – about 380km south of Perth – in WA about 10.45am local time on Thursday.
The depth of the quake was about 10km.
Few people in Augusta, Margaret River and Manjimup have reported feeling its impact, according to Geoscience.
It comes three days after two smaller earthquakes were felt in Collie while a weak quake was recorded in Lake Muir in the southwestern region of WA nearly one week ago.
Meanwhile, the Upper Hunter Valley in NSW also experienced an earthquake on Tuesday.
The region recorded a 4.1 magnitude quake near Denman.
