A rumour about Donald Trump’s first move after he was grazed by gunfire spread like wildfire only to be proven to be incorrect.

Rumours swirled that Donald Trump would attend the UFC fight night in Denver on Sunday (AEDT).

Just hours after the former President was rushed off stage with blood smeared across his face following a shooting at his campaign rally, the 78-year-old was reportedly linked to making a grandstand entrance into the UFC event at the Ball Arena in Denver.

There were crazy scenes last month when the convicted felon walked out in front of more than 15,000 fans during the UFC 302 blockbuster in New Jersey.

Rumours spread like wildfire that Trump would receive something akin to a Messiah-like standing ovation if he appears in front of his army of UFC fans on Sunday.

Trump’s motorcade has been seen leaving a local hospital in Butler, Pennsylvania. The intended destination has not been disclosed.

Sadly for UFC fans the rumours failed to come to life with the former President nowhere to be seen inside the arena.

The New York Post reports, Trump will not attend the UFC event as first planned.

Trump is close friends with UFC boss Dana White and has on several occasions been an MVP guest at UFC events across the United States.

His arrival at the Denver Stadium would have caused absolute chaos.

One UFC fan posted: “The craze around Trump is about to get INSANE. They might lift him up like JESUS CHRIST tonight at that UFC event. Biden is COOKED”.

UFC fighter Evan Elder spoke out in support of Trump when interviewed in the Octagon following his submission win over Darrius Flowers on the Namajunas vs Cortez fight night undercard.

“I heard they just tried to whack my boy Trump. I’m glad that man is OK – long live Trump, let’s go baby. Trump 2024!” he said after his victory to applause.

White also sent his support to Trump when posting on social media, describing his friend as “the toughest, most resilient, AMERICAN BAD ASS on this planet”.

Trump was “grazed by gunfire” during the shooting and left the rally with an injury to his right ear, local district-attorney Richard Goldinger said earlier.

One member of the rally crowd is dead, as is the alleged shooter. One other person is in a serious condition.

After the shots rang out, Trump ducked behind a lectern, clutching his ear, with Secret Service personnel rushing to surround him.

In footage of the incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, local time, loud bangs could be heard, plus someone - presumably a Secret Service agent - yelling “get down, get down, get down”.

Nine popping noises in all could be heard, including three before Mr Trump ducked. Members of the crowd, some of whom also dove for cover, could be heard screaming.
