Rising Aussie star player Alexei Popyrin has been rewarded for a breakout 2019 with a wildcard entry to the ATP Adelaide International next month.
The 20-year-old, who soared 50 places to number 97 in the world this year, will be the lowest ranked man in a heavyweight 30 player field set to include Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic and Australian number one Alex de Minaur.

Herzegovina at Memorial Drive in February, will be joined by fellow Aussie Jordan Thompson who has been awarded the second wildcard.
Thompson, 25, has enjoyed a stellar year and hit a ranking high of 43 in July. He is now world ranked 63.
The Adelaide International, which will feature world number one Ash Barty and Wimbledon champion Simona Halep in its WTA tournament, runs from Sunday January 12 to Saturday January 18.
