Live The Moment hoping to break his maiden on Tuesday
Trainer Peter Robl is hoping Live The Moment can replicate the success his ironcast sibling Destiny’s Kiss enjoyed at Wyong racecourse over the years, and notch his first victory.

Live The Moment is ready to post his first win on Tuesday at the same venue – Wyong – where his ironcast sibling Destiny’s Kiss collected one of his 12 “Cup” trophies.
Live The Moment is trained by Peter Robl, who rode Destiny’s Kiss just once in his 102 starts.
It was New Year’s Day in 2014 to be precise and they combined to finished third in the Tatt’s Club Cup at Randwick.
Live The Moment has won three races, still well short of Destiny’s Kiss’s tally of 19, but is in as good a shape as he has been for some time.
“He ran really well first-up at Warwick Farm and then at his next start he just didn’t have any luck, and then third-up he was very disappointing,’’ Robl said.
“So I took the blinkers off and went back to basics with him and it was good to see him win at Gosford.
“He seems to have come out of that run really well and hopefully he gets a bit of confidence out of it.’’
The son of Pierro was given a gem of a ride by 2015-16 champion Sydney apprentice Rory Hutchings.
“It was just a perfect ride,’’ Robl said.
“He did everything right and got out at the right time. If he can produce another similar sort of ride on Tuesday, albeit in a bigger field, at least it will give the horse every chance to be winning.’’
Live The Moment, like Destiny’s Kiss, was bred by Nick Moraitis and has the pedigree and attitude to run beyond a mile when the time comes, which will be soon.
“I said to Nick that I actually think he will run 10 furlongs (2000m),’’ Robl said.
“He is a half-brother to Destiny’s Kiss so he is entitled to run a journey and he gives me the impression that the way he is racing he will run out 10 furlongs.
“He kind of has that gate speed where in a ‘seven’ (1400m race) he can be thereabouts.
“So if he can run 10 furlongs, he is naturally going to lob himself third or fourth, which is a big bonus, and he is a such a relaxed sort of horse, he doesn’t over-race.

“The plan is hopefully he can go and win (on Tuesday) and then we’ll step him up to a 1900m at Canterbury.
“The same bunch of horses go around week in and week out over those staying journeys. He is bred to run a trip and hopefully by running over a journey it generates a bit of turn of foot into him and he might just appreciate it.
“Destiny’s Kiss didn’t come good until he was about seven or eight, so he has plenty of time in front of him.’’
Live The Moment is the seventh foal of his dam, A Fairy’s Kiss, who Moraitis bought as a yearling off Sir Patrick Hogan for $130,000.
A Fairy’s Kiss is a daughter of Group 2-winning Zabeel mare Crimson, who was a contemporary of Moraitis’s own Zabeel, Might And Power.
