Reds team to face Brumbies: Aidan Toua gets Reds start at fullback, Chris Feauai-Sautia on bench
ATTACKING livewire Aidan Toua named at fullback for Reds v Brumbies, but no room in starting line-up for Chris Feauai-Sautia.
THE powerful Queensland Reds backline has given attacking livewire Aidan Toua a big opening chance at fullback but there is no room in the starting line-up for Chris Feauai-Sautia.
Reds coach Richard Graham had a rare, fully fit squad to choose from and the tricky selection issues were clear for Saturday night’s massive Super Rugby lift-off against the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.
Inside centre Mike Harris and No. 13 Ben Tapuai have been named in the centres. Feauai-Sautia will come off the bench as will another Wallaby back Anthony Faingaa, who had his first trial minutes last Friday night after off-season shoulder surgery.
In the pack, Greg Holmes has been rewarded for his fine 2013 season with the starting assignment at tight-head prop. Ben Daley will come off the bench.
Former NSW Waratahs back Lachie Turner has won a start on the wing, a position Feauai-Sautia filled last year as well.
Young Feauai-Sautia, who made his Wallaby debut last year, is still very much in the plans to be an impact weapon in the second half.
